Halloween Kills Plot Summary and Synopsis

Moments after burning the basement, Laurie Strode, her daughter, Karen, and her granddaughter, Allyson are driven to the hospital while they see firefighters rushing to stop the fire at the basement, in which Michael Myers is trapped, much to the trio’s horror.

At the house, one of the firefighters falls into the basement, where he is killed brutally by Michael who steals his axe to kill the others and leaves the burning house.

Meanwhile, Allyson’s boyfriend Cameron finds Deputy Sheriff Frank Hawkins wounded yet alive after being stabbed by Dr. Sartain and takes him to the hospital in which the trio are hospitalized.

Elsewhere in Haddonfield, the survivors of Myers’ 1978 massacre reunite at a bar as part of their annual reunion event; Cameron’s father Lonnie is among them alongside Tommy Doyle and two of Laurie’s former babysitting children, Lindsey Wallace among them as well as Dr. Samuel Loomis’ former assistant Marion Chambers and former Sherrif Brackett.

Soon as they learn that Michael has returned, Tommy decides to hunt him down while Vanessa spots someone she believes is Myers. However, it is a mental inmate who escaped with Michael and he flees.

Sneaking out of the hospital against Karen’s order, Allyson joins Lonnie and the others in looking for Michael, but not before she leaves Laurie a knife for protection.

Michael later breaks into an old couple’s house and kills them, stealing their knives. Allyson learns from Sheriff Barker that Michael is alive, but decides not to tell Laurie. Hawkins visits Laurie and they reminisce about a brief relationship they led after Laurie’s husband passed away.

At Halloween’s night; Michael goes out again for a killing spree, and, kills many residents around Haddonfield brutally. At the meantime, Lindsey, Marion, Marcus and Vanessa drive around Haddonfield, hoping to find Myers.

Then, Myers ambushes and attacks them, succeeding to kill Marion, Marcus and Vanessa. Michael almost kills Lindsey, but she distracts him by removing his mask before jumping into the river.

Tommy, Allyson, Cameron and Lonnie find Lindsey whom they take to the hospital while Lonnie continues the search with Allyson and Cameron while Tommy stays with her.

At the overcrowded hospital; Tommy visits Laurie and tells her Michael is alive and promises to protect her as much as she protected him when he was younger. Laurie leaves the hospital with Karen and Hawkins while Tommy tells them Allyson joined them to search after Michael.

Later, Tommy rallies a large mob of Haddonfield residents to join him in finding and killing Myers. The escaped patient wanders at the moment, which the mob mistakenly identify as Michael and he is pursued by the angry mob.

Karen tries to help him, yet the patient commits suicide out of fear. She leaves to find Allyson, while Lonnie realizes Michael returns to his old childhood home which is now owned by a gay couple, which Michael kills.

When Allyson, Cameron and Lonnie arrive, Michael kills Lonnie and stabs Cameron. Just as Michael prepares to kill Allyson, Karen arrives and steals his mask to lure him into a trap at the nearby playground, where Michael is ambushed and attacked by the mob.

Michael turns the table and wounds Tommy and kills several residents and Brackett is injured while Karen goes back to Allyson but she is drawn to Judith Myers’ old room, where Michael jumps at Karen and stabs her to death. Allyson does not hear it due to the noisy mob. Laurie calls Karen, but Michael picks up the phone and she hears his breathing, realizing that her daughter is dead much to her horror.
