A Quiet Place Part II Ending Explained [SPOILER!]

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

A Quiet Place Part II Plot Summary and Synopsis

Moments after the events of A Quiet Place, the Abbott family leaves their home after killing three of the alien creatures, they run across Emmett (Cillian Murphy) who helps conceal the family after Marcus gets injured by a bear trap, causing him to attract the creatures. After hiding, Marcus and Regan discover a radio signal that plays the song Across The Sea on a loop, which originates from an island nearby. After attempting to convince Marcus to help her find a way to the radio tower to instead transmit the high-frequency noise her hearing aid produces that exposes weak spots on the aliens, Regan is forced the venture out on her own after he threatens to tell Evelyn.

After discovering that Regan had left, Evelyn pleas Emmett to go find her and bring her back, to which he does. However, after Regan explains her plan to Emmett, he decides to help her complete the mission. Back at Emmett’s base, Evelyn has to leave Marcus and her infant to get the supplies they require. Marcus exits the bunker and explores the compound, accidentally knocking a few objects over, alerting a nearby alien to his location.

As Emmett and Regan look for a boat to reach the island, they run into feral people, who tie bottles around Emmett and begin to search Evelyn for supplies. As Emmett tells Regan to dive, he begins making noise to bring the aliens’ attention, who proceed to kill the feral people. However, one of them hears Emmett swimming in the water, and jumps after him, only to drown as it cannot swim. Evelyn returns to the compound with the supplies and hides inside the bunker with Marcus and the infant, with the alien waiting outside the door for them.

Regan and Emmett approach the island, where they find a colony of people living normal lives after isolating themselves to the island. After the government realized the creatures could not swim, the National Guard had as many people as possible put on the islands. However, Emmett and Regan accidentally bring aboard one of the creatures, which kills several civilians. However, they lure the creature away to where the radio station is, and it follows them inside. The alien eventually hears Regan and Emmett, slicing Emmett with its claws. However, as it goes after Regan, she is able to change the sound coming from the station from the song to the noise her hearing aid produced weakening the creature, as she eventually kills it with a pole.

Marcus, picking up the signal through the radio, also uses the noise to weaken the creature, shooting it dead, now allowing anyone to be able to kill the creatures.
