Marvel actor Mark Ruffalo shares a video of director Taika Waititi relaxing between takes on the set of his 2017 movie Thor: Ragnarok.
Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi takes a much deserved break in a set video shared by Marvel star Mark Ruffalo. Ragnarok is the third film in the Thor franchise, though the first directed by Waititi. After a disappointing sequel, the director is credited with making Thor fun again, a change that continued in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. The film also featured Ruffalo as his character the Hulk, setting up an entertaining dynamic between the two. Considering the success of Thor: Ragnarok, which was both a critical and commercial success, it’s no wonder Marvel asked Waititi back to helm the upcoming fourth film.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to release in 2022 and will feature another exciting return aside from Waititi: Natalie Portman, who will reprise her role of Jane Foster. Jane was missing from Thor: Ragnarok, making her inclusion in the fourth film a welcome surprise. What’s more, the movie will see Jane take on the mantle of Mighty Thor, as was announced at SDCC 2019. Other than that, very little definitive information is known about the script for Thor: Love and Thunder. Waititi has even said he’s not positive the film will adapt Jane’s breast cancer storyline from the comics, though Portman is excited about the idea.
However, before the next movie in the Thor series starts filming, Ruffalo has shared a video taken on the set of Ragnarok, with Waititi getting relaxing massage for a moment between takes.
