Last year was a year of excess when it came to the superhero film/TV landscape. Of course, we’re talking about how “Avengers: Endgame” threw every superhero possible on the screen and dominated the record books. But there was also the deconstruction of the superhero genre done expertly in “Watchmen” and “The Boys.” And while “Watchmen” might be ready to collect a ton of Emmy trophies in a month, “The Boys” is skipping the ceremony and moving ahead with more superhero mayhem with Season 2.
