Here’s an interesting one with a semi-interesting story. Like Netflix back in the day, HBO Max has to fill its content coffers and one way the streaming service is doing that—just like Netflix and Amazon did originally—is license previously made content and repackage it as something relatively new. Take, “Pure” a new comedy/drama series coming to HBO Max. “Pure” is a British television series first broadcast on 30 January 2019 on BBC’s Channel 4. It stars up-and-coming English actor Charly Clive as a 20-something adult who is having 24/7 OCD-driven sex fantasies. She doesn’t know what to do about them, so it’s off to both lots of experimentation and therapy.
