Thanks to the holidays and a disregard for proper quarantining, COVID-19 cases are still surging across the United States. One of the hardest-hit states during the coronavirus pandemic continues to be California, which officially became the first state to surpass 2 million COVID-19 cases on December 23. That’s why the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is urging film, television, and music productions to consider pausing their work for a few weeks in order to reduce risk and possible spread.
