Good on Paper Plot Summary and Synopsis

Andrea is a stand-up comedian who is 34 years old. She auditions for a role in a movie but doesn’t get it. She meets Dennis Kelly at the airport and then on the plane where he is seated next to her.

Dennis tells Andrea that he works in hedge funds and is a Yale graduate. They seem to hit off immediately.

They start to hang out, he helps her prepare for auditions and they become good friends. Although she isn’t really interested, he gets her drunk under false pretenses and they have sex.

As Andrea and Dennis get closer, she and her friend Margot start to question if he is all that he claims. It doesn’t take long to find out, that her gut instinct was right.

He even takes her to court, but justice does prevail. She is given a restraining order and more fodder for her stand up routine.

A visual and sonorous journey into the poetic and irreverent imagery of the Italian singer, Lucio Dalla.
