In something of a surprise, the Television Academy is expanding the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony from two nights to five. The additional three nights will likely allow the organization to do virtual acceptance speeches in all categories, although that was not specifically noted in a press release regarding the change. Both the Creative Arts and Primetime Emmy Awards will be virtual ceremonies due to continuing concerns regarding the coronavirus pandemic.
