The actor is currently filming Heels, a wrestling drama that also features Vikings star Alexander Ludwig, in Atlanta for Starz. It has been reported that he was seen to by a medic and a stunt co-ordinator immediately after the stunt went wrong.
A statement from Starz issued to Deadline reads: “While performing a stunt on the set of Heels this week, Stephen Amell sustained an injury to his back. Following a medical evaluation, he is now resting and recovering at home in anticipation of his return to set.”
